Anglian Podiatry is a professional podiatry clinic that you can trust. All our treatments and costs are fully explained, and practice methods are regularly reviewed, to give you an excellent service in and around Colchester.
About Us
Podiatry professionals treat foot and mobility problems, and address their causes. This can involve the removal of a painful corn and perhaps the prescription of an orthotic or support to help avoid its recurrence. Advice will be given on all aspects of your foot health and footwear, and a follow-up appointment may be necessary. We are committed to providing the best treatments available, and keep up to date with recent research and innovations within the profession. We will liaise with other professions, if necessary, (such as physiotherapists) in order to ensure you get all-round care.
Established in 1985, Anglian Podiatry was originally started as a one-person private practice with the clinic’s founder, Sue Summers. By 1994 we had grown into an independent business, running from Ipswich Road, where we remained for 30 years. Over time, we have continued to expand to such a degree that we now offer services from our second clinic in Lee Road, Harwich and in February 2024 our main base relocated from Ipswich Road to Chapel Road in Stanway. We currently have 9 qualified podiatrists working here who are all HCPC registered. The clinic is open 6 days per week, with an evening surgery on Tuesday’s, often running three surgeries concurrently.
We now have a patient base of over 20,000 clients, many of whom have been with us since the early days. We also hold The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists certificate of Practice Accreditation, which requires rigorous standards and codes of practice. Anglian Podiatry is one of a few private practices to fulfil the strict accreditation criteria.
